Version History automatically saves snapshots of your work, allowing you to view and restore previous versions of any document.

**Automatic versions:**

- Created automatically whenever document is auto-saved
- Deleted after 30 days

**Manual snapshots:**

- Create permanent versions that never expire
- Pin important milestones to keep them forever

**To view versions:**

1. Open your document
2. Click the history button in the top right
3. See a chronological list of all versions

**To restore a previous version:**

1. Open Version History
2. Click on the version you want to restore
3. Preview the content
4. Click **Restore This Version**
5. Confirm

Your current document is replaced with the selected version. A new version of your current state is automatically saved before restoring, so you won't lose work.

Pin important versions to keep them forever.

**To create a manual snapshot:**

1. Open Version History
2. Select **New snapshot**
3. Fill in the needed info
4. Keep the "Keep forever (pinned)" selected
5. Version is marked as permanent

Pinned snapshots never expire.

Deleted Images

Deleted images are not restored when you restore a previous version. If you restore a version that contained an image you later deleted, the image reference will remain but the image itself won't reappear.

**Version History is not available for:**

- Canvas (Canvas has its own save system)
- Folders or sections (only documents have versions)
